Microsoft PhotoSynth: Something Like a Panorama Stitcher “on Steroids”

Microsoft today has announced a new technology called “Microsoft PhotoSynth” coming from its labs. The idea seems to be to connect all photos (even from the whole Web) by analyzing them for common details and then showing them connected to each other and you can move around in the collection like you would turn your head. It works similar to a panorama stitching program but to a much larger scale…

    Looks very cool…but this is assuming that all photos are taken at the same time, isn’t it?

    I wouldn’t think so. As long as the photos share common areas it makes no difference on when they were taken…
